Hey! I don't think they like it, but I don't think they give a shit. They're only interested in filling their pockets. They prefer not to think of the rest of us who are suffering. It's the American way, I'm afraid.

I didn't realize how low the margin was that the gas stations received. That's horriblle. Take care of yourself. Get yourself an electric rechargeable scooter. You'll just have to leave for work about five hours early!

Hey Rob! I will have to find this write up I have that breaks down the price of gas. It sucks around here too but I think the big oil complanies like making it tough forthe rest of us! Of course, the actual gas stations that sell the gas for the comfy oil company tycoons don't make much off the overpriced gas, half the time they lose $. Ben's shop only makes $0.03 to $0.04 on average per gallon! What is up with that?? Some coushy oil guy is getting all the dough and making the rest of go crazy! Hope you are well!

It's funny you commented on this post and mentioned caffeine. I went cold turkey last Friday, and the first two days were tough. No headaches, but I got really tired and nodded off at my desk a few times during the afternoon. That Saturday, I was pretty much a useless dad.

Now, I really don't miss it, and found some alternatives that seem to help. The sleep seems to have improved, too, and the other night, I think I actually slept through the night!

I'm not sure what's wrong with the video. I know Diane would love it. I'll post a link to it, and then you can try right-clicking and doing a "Save As...". That might allow you to save it right to your computer and view it that way.

Miss you guys. Hope you're having fun in that blizzard!

I have the problem occasionally and chalk it up to way too much caffeine throughout the day. I love my java. A few beers usually works even though the experts say no. I've been good though, haven't had a beer since my b-day.
I finally could connect to your site using Verizon wireless, not my satellite connection. I'm still looking for the link to the video. For some reason Windows Media Player or my settings won't allow it.

I've actually heard someone use the word "motivationalize" instead of "motivate". It was so uniquely ridiculous that I'd forgotten about it until just now.

There's probably something to the idea that there's a psychological motive to adding extra syllables to a word. It might be that an additional syllable makes a word seem "bigger" and, therefore, more elegant or scholarly.

Roger that. I've been hearing others: regimentated. I have a weight training video in which the narrator says "pectorials". Remember "funerial", "Villanovia". There's a "psychological" reason as to why people often want to add an extra syllable, I think. My most detested contortion is "impacted".
I like your observation on politics; I agree - the Republicans and Democrats are more alike than they are different.
Having politicians as "whipping boys" gives the average person a feeling of superiority. Keeping things the same 1) allows people to avoid actually thinking, and 2) guarantees that they will always have politicians to complain about(and to whom they may feel superior).

If you had spelled it "pooh" then Outlook probably would have recognized it as a word. But then it might have capitolized it as in "Winnie the".
