Netpocalypse
Apparently, the internet can be broken. It appears that starting in a few years, we’ll experience the first symptoms.
It seems like humans find a way to break everything, eventually.
Farewell
Tonight, we said goodbye to our dog, Millie. Her new owner came to pick her up earlier this evening, and they headed off to her new home. Millie had been our companion for about 2 1/2 years, and was a loyal and loving family member. After the birth of our son in April, however, her needs took a back seat. It was simply too hard to give her the attention and exercise she needed.
I feel like we failed and could have done more. However, if doing more to keep her would have prevented me from devoting my time to my wife and son, then the choice we made to find Millie a new home was the right one for all of us. We found someone who seemed willing and eager to play with her and walk her, and that helped us feel better about our decision.
We miss her, but are sure she will have a happier life.
